Kim Chambless
The Metroport Chamber of Commerce is delighted to celebrate Kim Chambless, Business Development Officer with Texas Regional Bank, as our October 2024 Ambassador of the Month! Kim's professional journey is a testament to her resilience, dedication, and commitment to continuous growth—qualities that make her an asset to both her organization and our community.
Kim’s story began in Tyler, Texas, where she met her husband while they both worked at a local grocery store. They moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area to start a new life together, marrying in 1999. Soon after, they welcomed their two daughters, Morgan in 2000 and Abigail in 2004, forming a close-knit family that has grown alongside her career.
In 1999, Kim launched her career at Neighborhood Credit Union, starting as a title clerk in the Indirect Program. Over the years, she took on increasing responsibilities, advancing to underwriter and eventually assistant branch manager. When her second daughter was born in 2004, Kim chose to focus on family, devoting herself to raising her daughters. During this time, she found a new passion for fitness, earning her certification as a Group Exercise (GX) Instructor and teaching classes for over ten years. In 2017, she furthered her fitness journey by becoming a certified personal trainer.
In 2021, Kim and her family moved to Northlake, Texas, where they found a perfect new home base. Shortly after relocating, she began working at Lamar Bank, initially in new accounts before advancing to the loan department. By July 2022, she joined Texas Regional Bank, where she quickly rose from Lending Assistant/Portfolio Manager to Business Development Officer—a role that aligns perfectly with her strengths and enthusiasm for relationship-building.
Outside of work, Kim enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling, and sharing their passion for hockey. One of their cherished traditions is traveling to watch the Dallas Stars play on the road, with recent trips to Boston and a future adventure planned for Vancouver.
