Erica Cawley: Ambassador of the 3rd Quarter in 2024

We are thrilled to announce Erica Cawley as the Metroport Chamber of Commerce's Ambassador of the Quarter for Q3 2024!

Erica’s journey began when she married her best friend, Ryan, in 2010. Both were employees at Fidelity Investments, and when the company decided to close their Boston offices, they found themselves relocating to different locations—Ryan to Raleigh, NC, and Erica to Westlake, TX. During a site visit to Texas, they fell in love with the area, and Ryan quickly secured a job that brought them both to Westlake to assist with Fidelity's expansion while overseeing the employer 401k organization.

In 2012, Erica and Ryan moved to their dream home in Roanoke and welcomed their first children, deciding that Erica would stay home to raise their family. Together, they have two healthy, intelligent, and athletic children: Hailey (12) and Ryan (10), along with a playful 5-year-old Chihuahua named Rex!

While embracing her role as a stay-at-home parent, Erica also found ways to build her resume. She worked remotely as a virtual assistant in the real estate and mortgage industries, gaining valuable experience along the way.

Most community members know Erica from her long career at Board + Brie, and despite the recent closure of that business, she quickly found new opportunities. Erica currently works for Bahama Buck's and Nothing Bundt Cakes, where she supports their community outreach, marketing, local development, and social media efforts.

Since joining the Metroport Chamber in late 2022, Erica has made a significant impact, earning accolades such as Ambassador of the Month (July 2023), Ambassador of the Quarter (Q2 2023), John Albanese Ambassador of the Year (2023), and Ambassador of the Month (January 2024).

Outside of her professional endeavors, Erica cherishes spending time with her family and cheering on her children at their basketball games. She enjoys working out with her husband, volunteering at Roanoke Elementary and Medlin Middle School, and organizing the beloved Annual Roanoke Community Trunk or Treat, which is entering its fourth year. Her hobbies include graphic design, muscle cars, enjoying lunches with her best friend Jenny, and indulging in her passion for doing her nails.

Please join us in congratulating Erica on this incredible recognition! Her dedication to the community, family, and local businesses is truly inspiring.

The Ambassadors are an enthusiastic group of Chamber Members.
